16:7. “True and righteous are thy judgments”

Song of the Three Young Men 1:4-5: “For thou art just in all that thou hast done to us, and all thy works are true and thy ways right, and all thy judgments are truth.  Thou hast executed true judgments in all that thou hast brought upon us and upon Jerusalem, the holy city of our fathers, for in truth and justice thou has brought all this upon us because of our sins.”  See also 19:2 below.

16:12. “…the great river Euphrates….”

2 Esdras 13:44: “…For at that time the Most High performed signs for them, and stopped the channels of the river [Euphrates] until they [the ten tribes who wished to be faithful to the commandments] had passed over….  Then they dwelt there until the last times; and now, when they are about to come again, the Most High will stop the channels of the river again, so that they may be able to pass over….”  (“The River” = the Euphrates, see 1 Maccabees 7:8)
