10:1. “…his face was as it were the sun….:  Reminiscent of Daniel 12:3 is:

2 Esdras 7:97: ” The sixth order, [of rest for the righteous] when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on.”

10:4. “Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered….”

See 1:1 above: “to shew…”  Note 26: “Some things…make public, namely, the rewritten books of the Old Testament.  Some…deliver in secret, namely, the apocalypses…” Note 46: [Of the 94 books that Ezra wrote, 24 were to be made public, and seventy were to be kept secret.  “The seventy are esoteric, apocalyptic books…” (OAA, p. 57-8).

2 Esdras 8:61: “…Therefore my judgment is now drawing near;…”

2 Esdras 16:37-39: “Behold, the calamities draw near, and are not delayed.  Just as a woman with child, in the ninth month, when the time of her delivery draws near, has great pains about her womb for two or three hours before-hand, and when the child comes forth from the womb, there will not be a moment’s delay, so the calamities will not delay in coming forth upon the earth, and the world will groan, and pains will seize it on every side.”
